MEET THE AUTHORS

Ruth Kukiela Bork, MEd, is dean and director of the Disability Resource Center at Northeastern University where she also received her master's degree. Her professional involvement in disability affairs and advocacy spans 34 years. Bork's is a founding member of the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) and has written and spoken on a wide range of disability-related topics. Ruth co-authored Students With Asperger Syndrome: A Guide for College Personnel and The Parent's Guide to College for Students on the Autism Spectrum.

Jane Thierfeld Brown, EdD, is Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale Child Study, Director of College Autism Spectrum and former Director of Student Services at the University of Connecticut School of Law. She has worked in disability services for 38 years. Brown consults with families, students, school districts and institutions of higher education. She has appeared on Good Morning America, CBS News, and NPR. She co-authored Student with Asperger’s: A Guide for College Professionals (published in Japanese 2017), The Parent’s Guide to College for Students on the Autism Spectrum, and Behavior Management and Self-Regulation, along with many textbook chapters and articles. Dr. Brown is married and has three children, the youngest  has autism.

Lorraine Wolf, PhD, is director of Disability Services at Boston University, where she also holds faculty appointments in psychiatry and rehabilitation sciences. She received a master's degree in general psychology from New York University and a doctorate in neuropsychology from City University of New York. With more than 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with neurodevelopmental disorders, Wolf has published and presented extensively on issues related to students with attention and learning disorders, psychiatric disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder.
