Over 90% of people with ASD have sensory issues.
NAPPA Award Winner!
Using the same product and easy-to-read format as the first edition, this newly expanded book explains how many children with high-functioning ASD relate to the world through their senses. Sensory Issues and High-Functioning Autism Spectrum and Related Disorders reviews sensory terminology and how the sensory systems impact behavior. An expanded discussion of assessment tools is followed by a comprehensive chapter on evidence-based interventions. Finally, a new chapter looks at meeting a student's sensory needs throughout the day and across environments using simple and easy-to-use forms and checklists.
